ALNWICK TOWN 0 CARLISLE CITY 2
Alnwicks final game of the season was played in front of a decent crowd at st James,
Alnwick again had enforced changes in there line up but still fielded a strong squad.
The game was pretty even in the first half with very few opportunities from either side, Carlisle were more than happy to use the tremendous long kicking ability from their keeper and put Alnwick under pressure.
Alnwicks best chance in the half came from defender Craig Henderson who hit a powerful shot that tested Carlisle keeper Bradley who made a fine save to his right.
Carlisle had a couple of shots off target but never threatened Brooks in the Alnwick goal.
The second half started much the same as the first with both teams failing to create many chances this was changed on 60 mins an in swinging corner was met by Carlisle forward Bell to head home from six yards out and put the Cumbrians in the lead.
Alnwick could have equalised soon after Dale Kennedy getting clear of his marker but the young striker failed to hit the target with his shot firing wide of the mark.
Richard Brown was the next to test Bradley in the Carlisle goal hitting a tremendous shot from 20 yards but Bradley in the Carlisle goal pulled off the save of the game turning the ball past the post at full stretch.
Alnwick fell further behind as Bell notched his second goal cutting in from the wing and shooting low into the corner of the net.
Alnwick introduced another future prospect soon after this sixteen year old Jake Lowes for his debut for the senior side, Alwick had most of the pressure and pushed to the finish but could not find away past keeper Bradley who must be attracting the attention of other clubs having put in two tremendous displays against Alnwick this season.
