Belford 0 Alnwick Town Reserves 4
ALNWICK Town Reserves notched another great win on a great day for football weather-wise.
The first chance on Saturday fell to Belford, but a great block by Jordan Rogerson stopped the Belford forward from scoring.
Belford had another early chance when a back-pass to Saunders in the Alnwick goal was intercepted but the Belford number eight hit a weak shot, allowing Saunders to get back and save.
The first goal came from a great cross by Rogerson to Mike Openshaw, who powered a great header into the top corner.
There were chances for both teams before Alnwick added their second.
Some good football on the left between Andrew Hutchins and Jake Lowes put John Colley in to cross to Dale Kennedy, who headed home.
Colley played in Openshaw who held off a challenge to rifle the ball into the bottom corner, and it wasn't long before Mike had his hat-trick, after playing a neat one-two with John Colley and hitting a low shot into the net.
There was still chances at either end with both keepers making saves but neither team could add to the scoring.
Team: G Saunders, J Jackson, J Rogerson, J Lowes, A Hutchins, J Colley, A McFall, M Openshaw, C Bickerton, S Hogg, M Smith, D McCann, D Kennedy, D Coxford.
