Alnwick Town Reserves 10 Alnmouth United 1 TABLE-TOPPERS Alnwick Town Reserves maintained their 100 per cent record with a 10-1 thumping of basement side Alnmouth United. In what was the Reserves' first home game of the season, the black 'n' whites made it four wins on the trot with five goals apiece from Stephen Hogg and Dale Kennedy. The Reserves marked their St James' Park bow by racing to a 4-0 half-time lead before adding six after the break. Winless Alnmouth United netted a consolation thanks to Lee Pattison. The seaside team have now conceded 23 goals in just three matches. Alnwick take a break from league action next week as they turn their attention to the first round of the NFA Minor Cup. The Division Two leaders travel to Division One outfit Bedlington Terrier Reserves on Saturday. |
