| Dennis Priestley Darts Night |
|
Dennis “the menace” Priestly has been to the toon. Dennis “The Menace” Priestley was the talk of the town last Thursday night as he gave an exhibition of darting excellence at St James’s Park, and helped support the newly reformed Alnwick Premier Darts League.
A whole host of local darts players, including a 14 year old mini Dennis, as well as members of Alnwick Town FC, pitted their skills against the 2 time world champion. “The Menace” was in fine form however, winning all 16 legs of 701 with a fine display of his skills including several 180's. He was pushed all the way by Peter “The Tash” Saunders who missed a dart at the Bull to claim what would have been a memorable victory. Afterwards Dennis held a question and answer session and was both honest and funny in his responses to the many and varied questions from the floor, that ended a fantastic night that saw the clubhouse full to the rafters and universally agreed as one of the best nights ever held at the club.
